This very popular two-day trip takes you to the South Coast and Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon and back to Reykjavik. The south coast, with its many amazing sights i.e. volcanoes, glaciers, rivers, black sand beaches and waterfalls, and on the second day, Jokulsarlon, glaciers, icebergs, black sandy beaches, Skaftafell National park and more.

This two day tour takes you to The South Coast and Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon and back to Reykjavik. – With one night at hotel in SE part of Iceland (not included).

Day 1

The south coast, with its many amazing sights i.e. volcanoes, glaciers, rivers, black sand beaches and waterfalls.

We will drive along the base of Eyjafjallajokull volcano.The first stop is at Skogafoss, a 62 m (203 ft) high waterfall. From there we head to Dyrholaey a 120 (394 ft) meters high headland extending into the sea and forming an impressive natural arch. We see Reynisdrangar, a collection of 66 m (216 ft) high rock pillars that rise out of the sea a few meters from the shore. The area has a rich birds nesting where you can explore the puffins, fulmars and guillemots in summer. We will stop for lunch break in Vik the Southernmost village before we head to Kirkjubaejarklaustur.

Day 2

On the 2nd day we will show you glaciers, icebergs, black sandy beaches, Skaftafell National park and more.

Jokulsarlon glacier lagoon is without a doubt one of Iceland’s most breathtaking jewels originating in one of the world’s largest glacier – Vatnajökull. The Lagoons’ magic stems from its translucent Icebergs, in all shapes and colors, floating right past you. Optionallying of May to late September). It is ideal to walk along the lagoon toward the “diamond beach” and, with a little luck, spot some seals. Jokulsarlon glacier lagoon is a unique place for its pristine beauty and is highly appreciated by filmmakers and photographers from around the globe.

  • Snowmobile tour on Myrdalsjokull glacier price ISK 32.490 per person if two persons are on a vehicle and 41.990 for a solo ride. Duration 3 hours, 1 hour on vehicle.
  • Glacier walk on Myrdalsjokull, price: ISK 13.490 per person. Duration 2,5 hours.
  • ATV/QUAD tours on Solheimasandur sand. Price ISK 21.990 per person if two persons are on a vehicle and 50.980 for a solo ride. Duration 2 hours.
  • Ice Cave Tour in Vatnajokull glacier (only in winter from mid November – mid March), price: ISK 22.900 per person. Duration 3,5 hours.

    The Ring Road in 7 – 9 Days

    We start with the Golden Circle tour, explore Thingvellir a Unesco listed National Park. Visit Geysir geothermal area and see the stunning Strokkur and Gullfoss waterfall. Main features:

This day we drive to Skaftafell National Park and hike to Svartifoss waterfall, continue to Svinafellsjokull glacier on the way to Jokulsarlon Glacier lagoon, optional is to go on a boat trip on the lagoon (in summer) and walk on the Diamond beach. We drive from Hornafjordur to the Djupivogur fishing village and then to Hallormstadur and Logurinn river. A hike to Hengifoss waterfall is optional. On the way to Myvatn we visit Dettifoss waterfall. In the afternoon you relax in the Nature Baths. We explore Myvatn area and visit the many attractive sites there as Dimmuborgir, Leirhnjukur, Namafjall Mt. and stop at Godafoss waterfall on the way to Akureyri. We drive to the west part of the country and stop at Blonduos on the way to the capital. This day ends in Reykjavík, but if you want to travel for two more days, the day ends at Snaefellsnes. Extra 2 days: We visit Djupalonssandur black sand beach, Snaefellsjokull Glacier, Hellnar, Arnarstapi, Budir and more. We visit Deildatunguhver, a hot spring and stop at Hraunfossar waterfall. You have the opportunity to go into a man made ice tunnel in Langjökull glacier (at extra cost) and stop at the Settlement Center.
